Friends and Neighbors,

Thanks to your support, we are going to a Runoff Election on June 18. That’s right, you have to vote again. I’m running to bring leadership that our students, teachers, and parents can rely on. I want to see RISD become the beacon of great education that I know we can be. I understand the challenges that we face and have the experience to bring real results. I believe in our RISD community and I believe in our ability to work together to give our teachers and staff the tools they need to provide every student with a quality education. Over the coming weeks, I am excited to continue this conversation with our parents and community. I hope to earn your support in the June 18th Runoff Election!

We are blessed to live in a community that is vibrant and close-knit. Part of what makes us so strong is the connections that our neighborhood schools make. They help us recognize our rich diversity and bring us together. But, our community is at a crossroads and our future will only be as solid as the foundation that we lay today. We face an important decision on where Richardson ISD is headed. During this moment, we must come together to ensure that we do not lose sight of our most important goal - to guarantee every single student is given the very best education possible and opportunities to build a successful life. That's why I'm running to be your new Trustee for Richardson ISD, District 2.

Our district has faced unprecedented challenges and critical decisions over the last year. I applaud the strides we have made together, but it's time for new leadership that will listen to the community and be a collaborative problem solver on the Board who works to ensure every student is counted. I'm a mom, a PTA member, and have worked professionally over the last decade to help fill the gap in individualized student learning needs. I am ready to be an advocate for our students, parents and community.

While we have so many things to be proud of about Richardson ISD, our district continues to face obstacles. These include achievement gaps, loss of great teachers, and pandemic setbacks. I will prioritize the rollout and growth of pre-k and increase opportunities that allow students to grow beyond high school. I'll work to ensure teachers and support staff are given the tools and resources they need to help each and every student.

I believe in RISD and I believe that we can meet this moment together. I'm asking for your vote to bring a positive change and step forward for our district. I look forward to meeting you over the coming months and hearing your thoughts about our schools.
